Graciela Mila Graciela Mila Espasandín Born in Montevideo. University graduated with a PhD in Diplomacy, having been a columnist for the magazines "Guia Financiera" and "Geopolítica". Photographer, graduated from the Uruguayan School of Photography. She perfected her studies at the Leonardo Da Vinci Academy of Fine Arts in FLORENCE, ITALY in the field of Photographic Art, Urban Photography and Digital Photographic Art and Digital Photographic Post Production. Also in PARIS, FRANCE, through the "Workshop of Specialization in Urban Photography" organized by the Photographic Institute "Sergio Arias" of Spain. She also specialized in "Urban Photography and Portrait" in BARCELONA, SPAIN at the "Barcelona Photographer" Institute. She made several photography exhibitions in Montevideo, Uruguay, among them in the INJU, in the Art Gallery "ALARTE", in the FERNANDO GARCIA MUSEUM with the collective of photographers of HIPERFOCAL, and in the EQUILIBRITY GROUP ART GALLERY, in the important cultural center ATENEO DE MONTEVIDEO on the occasion of the presentation of her book "Cosmopolita", and in Punta del Este, Uruguay in the "ESPACIO GORLERO" under the auspices of the Municipality of Maldonado. From December 2020, she is an artist of "1819 ART GALLERY" of MADRID, exhibiting in the exhibition "Montmartre", and in 2021 she is also a member of the photographic collective "LE GRAS PHOTOGRAPHER COLLECTION" also in Madrid. Her work is also represented in Europe by the ABARTIUM Gallery and Studio in Barcelona and the CIRCUIT ARTISTIC in Catalonia, being currently part of the winter traveling exhibition on the Costa Brava. In 2021, she was part also of the exhibition of Contemporary Art "No Shackles" in the GUADALUPE MUSEUM of Guadalupe City, Nuevo León, MEXICO. In 2021 also she was part of an artistic exhibition in "Espacio T" art gallery of Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA. In 2021 as an artist of "ACCS Visual Arts", she exhibited in a "solo exhibition" in World Trade Center of Uruguay. From January 2022 she is sponsored by "Spirit Del Art Gallery" of New York and and her artwork is part also of "Art sy" on the web. Member of the international photographic communities "FOTOCOMMUNITY" and "VIEWBUG", having won several awards: TOP SHOT AWARD, TOP CLASS AWARD, CELEBRATION AWARD, SUPERB COMPOSITION AWARD, CURATOR'S SELECTION AWARD, GENIUS AWARD, HERO AWARD, FALL AWARD and 62 other awards given by colleagues in the community in addition to two badges: TOP CLASS and DAYDREAMER. Winner of the SCOTT KELBY WORLDWIDE PHOTOWALK 2019 for Uruguay, representing the city of Montevideo in the International Edition in Florida, USA. Winner of the ESTRELLA DEL SUR Award in 2019 for artistic work and again nominated for this award in 2020 with the award ceremony taking place in September 2021. In 2021 also nominated for the "GAVIOTA DE PLATA" and "FLOR NACIONAL" awards to be granted in December by the Argentine Cultural Foundation "PRINCESA ALEXANDRA", and also for the "PREMIO FÉNIX" and the "PREMIO VICTORIA" both to be granted in December 2021. Nominated in January 2022 for the "REINA DEL PLATA" artistic award of the Atrezzo Foundation of Argentina. Winner in 2021 of the First Prize in the International Photography Contest organized by the URUGUAYAN ASSOCIATION OF LITERATURE, HISTORY AND ART (AULHA). In November 2020 she is selected in the category of photography to integrate the INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIION of the II BIENNIAL OF COLONIA which will be on display until 2022. In 2019 she presents her book "COSMOPOLITA" which combines photography with poetry and poetic prose, which was published by Editorial Moa Demkroff. In 2021 winner of the "ATREZZO AWARD" of America and Europe delivered by the America-based Atrezzo Foundation in Buenos Aires, Argentina for her artistic work in her book COSMOPOLITA. The book was presented in the Virtual Book Fairy of United States in 2021. In 2020 she is appointed CULTURAL AMBASSADOR for Uruguay to the CIESART (International Chamber of Writers and Artists) based in Barcelona. She is a WRITER, and member of AUDE (Uruguayan Association of Writers), having dabbled in historical short stories. "nouvelle" and poetry.
